San Francisco
On Saturday, July 13th, the Institute will charter a bus to take participants from Davis to San Francisco! The bus will drop passengers off at the Embarcadero, allowing people to hop on the BART, Muni, or walk to attractions like Fisherman’s Wharf, Pier 39, North Beach, China Town, Golden Gate Park, and Union Square!
The Embarcadero is at San Francisco’s eastern shoreline. It has restaurants, gourmet shops, street performers, and food stands that will genuinely make you feel the vibe of the Bay.
It is the home of the “Ferry Building,” which is one of the city’s most iconic structures and a major food lover’s draw because of its acclaimed restaurants such as the “Slanted Door.” The Ferry Building is also known for its gourmet shops and farmers’ market. It is also easy to get around the city from The Ferry Building, as it is located at the center of a major transit hub where Bart, Muni, and the Ferry lines all come together.
Pier 33 offers ferry cruises to the island of Alcatraz, one of the world’s most legendary prisons.
Pier 39 Fisherman’s Wharf is a great way to experience the waterfront culture of the city. It is one of San Francisco’s most popular tourist attraction, with views of the Golden Gate, Angel Island, and Alcatraz.
In Ghirardelli Square, you’ll find a dessert restaurant serving almost every kind of ice cream sundae imaginable. As its name suggests, the restaurant was once the site of the Original Ghirardelli Chocolate Manufactory.
Ride in comfort! Our charter busses are air conditioned, have onboard bathrooms, and include complimentary bottled water. There are also plugs for you to charge your devices and WiFi.
